Research skills for uncertain times
When society and business face rapidly escalating challenges, fundamental and applied research provides the answers. As a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous future evolves, research skills become more crucial in enabling organisations to innovate in response to political, economic, societal, technological and ecological change.
This course is specifically designed to develop the skills needed to design research in educational and professional settings. It is delivered face to face at HELI's Melbourne campus, with attendance on campus required for all four units.

To qualify for the award you complete all four core units below. A unit worth 6 credit points is equal to 0.125 equivalent full-time student load.

Face to face classes at the Melbourne campus are required for all four units.

Admission requirements
Admission is granted to applicants who meet any one of the following. This is an AQF Level 8 qualification.
- A completed bachelor degree (AQF 7) or higher from a recognised institution
- A three year associate degree or advanced diploma (AQF 6) with a credit average
- A two year associate degree or advanced diploma (AQF 6) with a credit average, plus one year of full-time relevant professional experience
- A diploma (AQF 5) plus two years of full-time relevant professional experience
- A recognised postgraduate preparation program
- Three years of full-time managerial or professional experience in a related field
- Five years of full-time general work experience in a related field
English language requirements
Applicants with international qualifications not delivered in English must demonstrate equivalency, for example Academic IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, or PTE Academic 58 with writing and speaking at least 50. Other accepted tests and scores are listed in the HELI admission policy.

Am I eligible without a bachelor degree?
Possibly. Three years of full-time managerial or professional experience in a related field, or five years of general work experience, are both accepted entry routes.
